Seeking an intern to handle tasks related to social media, web design, PR, and administrative duties. Additionally we are looking for help with fundraising (you can participate in all or some of these duties) Position is available immediately, and will remain posted until filled.

The Artist Volunteer Center is a new one-of-a-kind nonprofit institution with the mission of promoting humanitarian volunteerism by artists, and supporting the creation of socially-conscious artwork inspired by community involvement and volunteer action.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Grow and maintain Social Media presence

-Create and send monthly newsletter

-Researching and selecting funding opportunities to which The Artist Volunteer Center can apply.

-Assisting in the preparation and gathering of information associated with grant applications.

-Excellent writing skills.

-Excellent communication and organizational skills.

-Some graphic design skills.

-Work load is approximately 10 hours per week.

The intern should be highly-organized and detail-oriented. He/she should have excellent interpersonal skills, be comfortable making phone calls, and be able to maintain a current email inbox. The intern will be working closely with the Director onsite in NYC, although some of the work can be done also online.

This position is unpaid. However, we can provide authorization for college credit with a college advisor. This is an excellent position for a candidate who is looking to gain experience in all facets of nonprofit management.
